Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a greenfield 125-key Gateway hotel in Siliguri, West Bengal, adding to a growing branded-hospitality pipeline in North Bengal. The property will feature 10,000 sqft of banquet space, meeting rooms, three dining formats, a pool, gym and spa, targeting business, leisure and events demand. The signing comes as Bagdogra Airport recorded 3.66 million passengers in FY2025-26, up 13.6% year on year, according to Airports Authority of India data. IHCL’s latest Q1 FY2027 update showed 20 hotel signings and a 645-hotel portfolio, including 55 Gateway properties globally. The Siliguri project takes IHCL’s West Bengal presence to 19 hotels, with 11 under development, according to the company. The hotel adds capacity for corporate and social events.
