India will grant Thai nationals 30-day e-Tourist visas with double entry on a gratis basis until 31 December, 2027, or further orders, the Embassy of India in Bangkok announced. Thai passport holders can apply through India’s official e-Visa portal without paying a visa fee. The facility covers the 30-day e-Tourist visa category and permits two entries. Around 130,000 Thai tourists visited India in 2025, according to information cited by the Indian Embassy in Bangkok. Official Indian tourism data recorded 140,489 Thai tourist arrivals in 2024, accounting for 1.41% of India’s foreign tourist arrivals, compared with 116,060 in 2023. Thailand is also directly connected with more than 15 Indian cities, with over 500 flights weekly, depending on seasonal schedules.
