Hotel rates across major business travel markets are set to rise in 2027, with India recording continued growth, according to American Express Global Business Travel’s Hotel Monitor 2027. Bengaluru is forecast to see rates increase 5–5.5%, while Delhi is projected at 4.5–5%, as additional hotel supply moderates price growth. Globally, São Paulo is expected to register the sharpest increase at 10.9–12.2%, followed by Buenos Aires at 8.1–8.7% and Madrid at 6.1–9.2%. London is forecast at 3.6–5.4%, while Singapore is expected to rise 0.8–1.6%. Amex GBT said airfares rose 15% year-on-year in mid-2026, with some Asia routes recording increases of up to twice that level, adding pressure to corporate travel budgets.
