Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has strengthened its rail tourism portfolio with the launch of the 11-day ‘Divine East Temple Tour’ aboard the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train, connecting major pilgrimage and heritage destinations across Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand. Departing from Delhi’s Safdarjung station, the all-inclusive itinerary covers Varanasi, Puri, Konark, Bhubaneswar, Chilika, Kolkata, Gangasagar and Baidyanath Dham. The launch comes as India’s spiritual tourism market is estimated to exceed ₹1.3 lakh crore annually, with pilgrimage driving domestic travel demand. This curated rail product offers a ready-to-sell, multi-state pilgrimage package while supporting the government’s thematic circuit and rail tourism strategy. The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe Tourist Train is equipped with modern amenities such as well-appointed cabins in AC III, AC II and AC I categories.
IRCTC has launched this special train tour at a price of one lakh 13 thousand 530 rupees per person for 1AC class, one lakh six thousand 145 rupees for 2 AC and 91 thousand 370 rupees for 3 AC Class. Package Price covers train journey in respective classes, accommodation in 3 star Hotels, all meals, all transfers and sight-seeing in AC Vehicles, Travel Insurance and services of IRCTC Tour Managers. Bookings for the Divine East Temple Tour are open on IRCTC’s tourism portal and through authorized IRCTC tourism offices across the country.
