Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced an eight-day “Wonders of Vietnam & Cambodia” tour package departing from Chennai. The Tamil Nadu capital becomes the second departure point for the itinerary, following its earlier launch from Bengaluru. The package offers travellers an opportunity to explore the cultural heritage, history and landscapes of two Southeast Asian destinations.
Scheduled from November 17 to 25, 2026, the seven-night, eight-day tour covers Da Nang, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. The package includes air tickets, road transfers, bus services, hotel accommodation, meals, guide or escort services, visa charges and travel insurance, with prices starting at INR 1.5 lakh per person.
The journey begins with an international flight from Chennai to Da Nang via Singapore. Travellers will explore attractions such as the Marble Mountains, My Khe Beach, Dragon Bridge, Han River waterfront, Ba Na Hills, the Golden Bridge and French Village. The itinerary also includes a visit to Hoi An Ancient Town, known for its historic streets, lantern-lined lanes and riverside setting.
From Da Nang, travellers will fly to Hanoi to visit landmarks including the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and the Old Quarter. The following day features an excursion to Ha Long Bay, where passengers can take a cruise among limestone islands, explore caves and participate in activities such as kayaking or bamboo boating before returning to Hanoi.
On the sixth day, the group will travel from Hanoi to Siem Reap, Cambodia. The remaining itinerary includes time to explore the destination before passengers check out on the eighth day and proceed to Siem Reap Airport for their return journey to Chennai via Singapore. The itinerary combines cultural sightseeing, natural attractions and guided travel across both countries.
IRCTC has listed the per-person package prices according to accommodation arrangements. Single occupancy costs INR 1,75,200, double occupancy INR 1,53,750 and triple occupancy INR 1,51,250. The price for a child aged five to 11 years with an extra bed is INR 1,31,500, while a child aged two to 11 years without a bed costs INR 1,15,600. The package includes 2% Tax Collected at Source (TCS), while infant airfare is payable directly to the airline. IRCTC has also cautioned that flight schedules may change and that refunds will not be provided for airline delays, cancellations or changes affecting accommodation, sightseeing or other services.
