The FICCI Tamil Nadu State Council has announced the appointment of Sriharan Balan, Managing Director of Madura Travel Service India, as the Convenor of its Tourism panel for FY2026-28.
A prominent young face of the travel and tourism industry in Southern India, the appointment of Balan is a recognition of his experience, dynamism and contribution to the travel and tourism industry.
Reacting to the appointment, Balan said, “I am honoured to accept this responsibility and grateful to FICCI Tamil Nadu for the confidence reposed in me. I look forward to working closely with the government and tourism industry stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, promote innovation and contribute to the sustainable growth of Tamil Nadu’s tourism ecosystem.”
The FICCI Tamil Nadu Tourism Panel will focus on industry-government collaboration, policy advocacy, destination development, investment opportunities and sustainable tourism, supporting the continued growth of Tamil Nadu as a leading tourism destination, he informed.
