MakeMyTrip & Emoha introduces #EldersFirst holiday packages for senior travellers

MakeMyTrip and Emoha have collaborated to introduce #EldersFirst holiday packages designed specifically for senior travellers who wish to explore the world with comfort, safety, and complete peace of mind. These thoughtfully curated trips address the unique needs of seniors, ensuring they enjoy travel without the usual concerns around health or mobility.

India’s senior travel segment is steadily expanding, with travellers aged 60+ forming a significant share of holiday bookings on MakeMyTrip. Many seniors prefer group tours and long-haul destinations but often hesitate due to medical or mobility-related worries. The new #EldersFirst packages aim to remove these barriers by offering specialised support before and during the journey.

Speaking about the initiative, Jasmeet Singh, Chief Commercial Officer – Holidays & Experiences at MakeMyTrip, emphasised that travel should remain a joyful experience at every age. He highlighted that these packages are built to give seniors renewed freedom while reassuring families that their loved ones are in safe hands, supported by expert care throughout the trip.

Emoha’s Co-Founder and CEO, Saumyajit Roy, shared that the partnership aligns with Emoha’s mission of helping seniors live extraordinary, fulfilling lives. He explained that many elders dream of travelling but feel held back by safety concerns. With #EldersFirst, both organisations aim to make every journey safe, enjoyable, and truly memorable.

Each #EldersFirst trip begins with pre-travel health screening and detailed medical profiling. Hotels are selected based on elder-friendly features, including non-slip flooring, grab bars, accessible layouts, and reliable emergency support. A trained nurse accompanies every group to provide continuous care—managing medicines, monitoring health, assisting with mobility, and responding swiftly to emergencies.

The itineraries are crafted to ensure a relaxed pace with late starts, frequent pauses, and balanced activities to prevent fatigue. Meals are customized to dietary needs, hydration is monitored, and families receive daily updates for reassurance. Mobility aids such as walkers and wheelchairs are also provided, enabling seniors to enjoy their journey with freedom, comfort, and confidence.
