Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed new standout wellness and dining offerings coming to Norwegian Aura, its largest ship to date and the newest addition to the award-winning Prima Plus Class, designed to give guests maximum freedom and choice throughout their vacation. Guided by guest feedback and NCL’s brand philosophy that no one should have to settle for less than the experiences they want most, Norwegian Aura introduces several new features aimed at creating memorable moments for families, couples, solo travellers and everyone in between.
Key additions include the industry’s most expansive Thermal Suite, offering 15 wellness experiences focused on relaxation, recovery and rejuvenation, along with Tamara, NCL’s first specialty restaurant dedicated entirely to Indian cuisine, and The Panorama Room, a reimagined take on complimentary dining at sea. Throughout the ship, popular restaurants, bars and lounges have also been redesigned and repositioned to create more open, inviting spaces that allow guests to move easily between experiences.
Marc Kazlauskas, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, said Norwegian Aura is centred on giving guests more of what they love, with spaces and experiences designed to make vacationing feel effortless—from the new Indian specialty restaurant Tamara to The Panorama Room’s immersive dining concept and the ship’s expansive Thermal Suite, all purposefully created to offer greater freedom, choice and relaxation without compromise.
Spanning two decks, the Mandara Spa, designed by the Rockwell Group, draws on the restorative power of nature to create an expansive wellness sanctuary inspired by forest canopies, cave-like retreats, cascading waterfalls and natural rhythms. At its core is the industry’s most expansive Thermal Suite, featuring 15 wellness amenities—including 11 entirely new experiences—built around the principles of contrast therapy, allowing guests to move between warm and cool spaces to create their own relaxation routine.
A signature highlight is the Sensory Rain Pool, the first of its kind at sea, offering a 360-degree immersive experience that transitions from calm waters to tropical rainfall and eventually a dramatic thunderstorm complete with simulated lightning and thunder sounds. Additional new offerings include the Blue Glow Suite for post-travel recovery, a dedicated Foot Spa, the Waterfall Experience, a Snow Cave designed for cold therapy benefits, a Reflection Pool with panoramic sea views, and guided Hot and Cold Plunge experiences. The spa also includes a Salt Room, Meditation Lounge, Aromatic Steam Room, Finnish Sauna, Charcoal Sauna and Zen Lounge, along with 24 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, a Skin Lab, and expanded medi-spa services including IV therapy, NAD+ injections and acupuncture, complemented by a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Norwegian Aura’s culinary program features 22 food and beverage options spanning more than 10 distinct cuisines. Leading the new offerings is Tamara, NCL’s first specialty restaurant dedicated to Indian cuisine, inspired by the popularity of Indian dishes previously introduced at Indulge Food Hall. Located on Deck 8, Tamara’s design draws on the architecture of North Indian temples and courtyards, featuring warm earth tones and an open-view kitchen anchored by tandoor ovens. The menu includes dishes such as Short-Rib Dosa, Lamb Biryani, and a tableside-tossed Green Papaya Salad.
Also new is The Panorama Room on Deck 6, a reimagined complimentary dining venue featuring expansive LED displays, multi-channel audio and dynamic visuals that transform the dining atmosphere throughout the day. Meanwhile, Hudson’s, the ship’s main dining room known for its 270-degree ocean views, will debut an elevated new design.
Beyond new concepts, existing restaurants have been reconfigured for improved comfort and flow. Deck 7 will house a redesigned Le Bistro and Sukhothai, while Palomar and Onda by Scarpetta on Deck 8 will benefit from expanded seating. Cagney’s Steakhouse will receive a sophisticated redesign, and Japanese specialty restaurants Hasuki and Nama will return with refreshed décor. Additional updates include an expanded Surfside Café spanning both sides of the ship, and the return of Indulge Food Hall with nine globally inspired stations, including new Mexican and Middle Eastern concepts alongside returning favourites like Q Texas Smokehouse and Planterie.
Guests staying in The Haven, NCL’s keycard-access luxury complex, will also enjoy a newly designed Haven Bar and Lounge and Haven Restaurant, created by longtime NCL design partners Studio DADO to evoke a tranquil, nature-inspired retreat.
Public spaces throughout Norwegian Aura have been refreshed to feel more open and connected, with bars and lounges featuring expanded layouts, including a significantly larger Penrose Bar & Atrium with more than double the seating and a dedicated entertainment stage. Other refreshed venues include the Metropolitan Bar, Swirl Wine Bar, Belvedere Bar and Whiskey Bar, along with the vibrant Daybreak Bar overlooking the pool on Deck 18.
Norwegian Aura will also feature Ocean Heights, a comprehensive activity hub designed for the entire family, combining new NCL attractions with reimagined favourites that transform from day to night through immersive lighting and LED projections. Highlights include six slides, the 82-foot Aura Ropes Course, a multi-level obstacle course, Moon Climber, and Aura Midway featuring carnival-style games and a nine-hole mini golf course, alongside NCL’s first-ever overhanging cabanas for guests seeking a more relaxed experience.
