One in five hotel bookings now comes via OTAs worldwide: Amadeus


Online travel agencies (OTAs) increased their contribution to global hotel bookings, accounting for 20% of room nights for June 2026, according to Amadeus. GDS channels also expanded their share to 10%, while direct booking channels saw a marginal decline. Brand websites and direct bookings continue to dominate globally with 33% share each. The trend reflects travellers’ increasing preference for digital booking platforms across international markets.
