Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited has announced the opening of Sterling Regalia Agra, strengthening its presence in Agra and expanding its footprint across the Delhi-Agra-Jaipur Golden Triangle travel circuit.
Located 1.4 km from the Taj Mahal, the property features 36 rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, event spaces and leisure facilities catering to leisure and business travellers, couples, families and small groups.
Commenting on the opening, Vikram Lalvani, Managing Director & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts, said: “Agra does not have a demand problem; it has a depth opportunity. The Taj brings the world to Agra. The opportunity for hospitality is to give travellers compelling reasons to stay longer, explore deeper and experience the city beyond its defining icon.
“Our Destination Architect strategy recognises that every destination needs a different intervention. In emerging destinations, we help create discovery; in established destinations like Agra, we build deeper engaging moments that connect them into larger travel circuits. Sterling Regalia Agra strengthens an important node in the Golden Triangle while opening up more of Agra to the bleisure traveller.
“The landmark creates the visit. The destination must create the journey.”
Property features
Sterling Regalia Agra includes a fourth-floor swimming pool offering views towards the Taj Mahal and a top-floor deck for private celebrations and special occasions.
The property’s 40-cover restaurant, Regalia Spices, serves Awadhi, Mughlai and Braj cuisine alongside international dishes. The restaurant offers buffet and à la carte dining.
Speaking on the occasion, Capt. Brijesh Yadav and Dr. Rekha Yadav, Owners of Taj Regalia, said: “Our vision was to create an address that does justice to its location—close to one of the world’s most celebrated monuments, yet with a character and experience of its own. Sterling brings strong hospitality expertise, reach and a destination-led approach. Together, we want guests to remember Sterling Regalia Agra not simply for its proximity to the Taj Mahal, but for how they experienced Agra while staying with us.”
The opening adds Agra to Sterling’s network of destinations and strengthens its presence along the Golden Triangle, one of India’s established travel circuits. The company said the property is part of its Destination Architect strategy, which focuses on developing properties around the role of each destination in the traveller’s journey.
