Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) J&K Chapter successfully hosted its 3rd bi-monthly meeting on April 16, 2026 at Hotel Palm Spring, drawing strong participation from members and industry stakeholders. The full-house event reflected growing engagement within the regional travel trade ecosystem.
A key highlight of the meeting was a series of knowledge-driven sessions, including an AI Masterclass led by Aman Kaushik. Industry partners such as Asego Global Insurance and GRN Connect also delivered presentations, focusing on emerging trends and solutions for travel professionals. The AI session, in particular, underscored the increasing role of artificial intelligence in enhancing efficiency, customer engagement, and business growth in tourism.
The event also featured a felicitation ceremony honouring key contributors to the industry. Former chairmen, including Manzoor Pakhtoon and Shamim Shah, were recognised for their leadership and foundational contributions to the Chapter’s growth.
Veteran professionals were acknowledged through the “Torch Bearer Awards,” while Nasir Shah received special recognition for nearly five decades of service to the tourism sector. Additional honours included the “Green Ambassador of Kashmir” title awarded to Faiz A. Bakshi and recognition of Abroo Ratta as a pioneering woman entrepreneur in the region’s tourism industry.
The Chapter also felicitated key airline partners IndiGo and Air India for their continued support to the travel trade, alongside knowledge partners and presenters who contributed to the event’s success.
Concluding with networking over a traditional Wazwan dinner, the meeting reinforced TAFI J&K’s focus on knowledge sharing, collaboration, and industry recognition. The initiative reflects a broader push to equip stakeholders with future-ready skills while strengthening the region’s tourism ecosystem.
