Travelxp has launched Marco, an agentic AI trip concierge that can discover, plan, book and pay for trips on behalf of travellers within spending limits and permissions set in advance. The platform unveiled the technology at Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai.
Marco is designed to simplify multi-part travel planning, where travellers typically arrange flights, hotels, transfers and activities across different platforms. Users can provide their destination, budget and preferences once, after which Marco can search and coordinate the various components of the trip.
The AI concierge can also execute bookings and payments directly, seeking traveller approval when an action falls outside the permissions defined by the user. These controls can include overall spending limits, permitted spending categories and transactions requiring explicit approval.
Marco remains active after bookings are made and can respond to disruptions such as flight delays or price changes. It can assess the impact on connected elements of an itinerary and make adjustments to hotel check-ins, transfers and activities within the permissions provided by the traveller.
Travelxp said its agentic payment infrastructure addresses a gap between AI-powered travel recommendations and actual transactions. The company cited 2026 research from IMG showing that while 75% of travellers using AI rely on it for recommendations, only 13% use it to complete bookings.
The launch at Global Fintech Fest positions Travelxp among Indian travel platforms exploring agentic commerce, with Marco combining trip planning, booking and payment capabilities. The company said the platform is designed to treat an entire trip as a connected budget rather than a series of separate travel purchases.
