Uttar Pradesh aims to raise tourism’s employment share from 1.4% to 5% by 2047, driven by startup-led innovation and investments, says Jaiveer Singh, Tourism and Culture Minister, Uttar Pradesh. The state has invited proposals for new tourism startups to boost jobs, infrastructure, and visitor experiences.
The policy includes incentives such as 25% subsidy for projects up to INR10 crore, stamp duty exemptions, and additional benefits for women and SC/ST entrepreneurs. New models like capsule pods, caravan tourism, and themed stays are under consideration, with approvals fast-tracked via a state-level committee.
