Vietjet records load factor of 28.2mn in 2025 with PAT of USD 80.6mn


 

Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company announced strong financial results for 2025 at its Annual General Meeting, along with approval of a 30% dividend payout. The airline also revealed ambitious plans to expand its international network, including entry into European markets, while strengthening connectivity for Indian travellers.

 

In 2025, Vietjet significantly expanded its footprint in India by launching new routes from Hyderabad and Bengaluru to Vietnam. These additions complement existing services from Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad, reinforcing its role in boosting tourism and trade between the two countries.

 

The airline reported  operational performance, operating 135 aircraft and serving 254 routes globally. It carried 28.2 million passengers across more than 153,000 flights. Financially, Vietjet achieved consolidated revenue of approximately USD 3.11 billion and a profit after tax of around USD 80.6 million, marking a 51.2% increase and exceeding its targets.

 

As part of its long-term strategy, Vietjet is investing heavily in fleet expansion, placing large orders with Airbus for A321neo and A330neo aircraft. The airline is also strengthening partnerships with global engine manufacturers like Rolls-Royce, CFM International, and Pratt & Whitney.

 

Looking ahead to 2026, Vietjet plans to expand into long-haul markets such as Europe and the United States. The airline aims to combine cost efficiency with enhanced passenger experience, including the introduction of business-class cabins for long-distance routes.

 

In addition to expansion, Vietjet is investing in operational efficiency through initiatives like a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) center and training programs via its aviation academy. These steps are designed to support sustainable growth while maintaining competitive pricing.

 

The airline’s performance has also been recognised globally, earning awards for safety, sustainability, and brand value. With strong financials, expanding routes, and strategic investments, Vietjet is positioning itself as a major player in global aviation.
