The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has announced India as the host country for its 2027 Global Summit, which will be held in Delhi. India was among around 22 destinations that formally submitted expressions of interest to host the summit. Announcing India as the location for its next annual summit, Gloria Guevara, President & CEO, WTTC, said, “Hosting a WTTC Global Summit is a powerful statement of economic ambition. It brings global leaders together to shape policy, attract investment and drive sustainable long-term growth.” Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, said, “India is the next global destination. The way India has emerged and evolved in the last 10 years, capacity is not a question anymore. Having hosted G20 and BRICS, the capacity taboo is broken. We have the capacity and capability to host the WTTC Summit.”
