Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, today announced the launch of direct flights connecting Gwalior with Delhi. The first flight, inaugurated virtually by Honourable Union Minister of Communications and Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Priya Mehra, Chief of Governance & Strategic Acquisitions, Akasa Air departed from Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport at 11:50 hrs and arrived at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 13:10 hrs.
The launch was marked by a special ceremony at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport to commemorate the first flight. A ceremonial lamp was lit in the presence of by Shri Pradyum Singh Tomar, District President, Gwalior, representatives from Akasa Air, alongside leadership members from Gwalior Airport. The first passenger was felicitated with a special boarding pass followed by a celebratory cakecutting ceremony.
