Amid flat international arrivals, Goa earmarks ₹7.7 crore for overseas roadshows

Goa Tourism has tentatively earmarked ₹7.7 crore for international roadshows across eight markets—Japan, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, England, Portugal and Spain—with dates yet to be finalised. The largest allocation, ₹1.9 crore, is for Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, while Japan and Birmingham-Manchester each receive ₹1.7 crore. The move comes as Goa recorded 61.4 lakh tourist arrivals during January-July 2026, including 2.4 lakh international visitors. The state is also preparing for its 2026-27 charter season, with services from the UK, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Poland, alongside proposed connectivity from additional CIS markets.
