Delhi–Guwahati bullet train corridor to connect key tourism destinations across 10 cities

The proposed 1,500-km Northern Bullet Train Corridor will connect Delhi with nine cities across northern and Northeast India, including Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Patna, Siliguri and Guwahati. The route will connect major heritage, religious and tourism destinations across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal, extending connectivity to the Northeast. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the corridor would reduce Delhi–Siliguri travel time from 20 hours to six hours. Other proposed journey times include 59 minutes between Delhi and Agra and 2 hours 12 minutes between Delhi and Lucknow.
