Goa eyes year-round tourism growth with TUI partnership, sports events, and digital push

Goa is stepping up efforts to position itself as a 365-day tourism destination, with the state reviewing a series of strategic initiatives aimed at boosting global visibility, attracting new visitor segments and reducing seasonality. At the 29th meeting of the Empowered Committee on Marketing and Public Relations under the Goa Tourism Board, officials discussed a proposed partnership with TUI Group to strengthen promotion across key European markets during the 2026–27 season, alongside expanded destination marketing and digital engagement. The state is also planning large-scale World Tourism Day 2026 celebrations under the UN Tourism theme focused on AI and digital transformation, while leveraging marquee events such as IRONMAN 70.3 Goa and Ultimate Table Tennis to grow sports tourism. The review aligns with Goa’s broader strategy of diversifying beyond beach tourism into wellness, MICE, culture and experiential travel, reinforcing its ambition to become a sustainable, year-round destination.
