Alliance Air has launched direct flights between Delhi and Daman, providing the Union Territory with its first non-stop air link to the national capital. The new service is expected to improve regional connectivity, support tourism, and enhance access for business and leisure travellers.
Alliance Air commenced its Delhi–Daman–Delhi service on 16 July, with Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu flagging off the inaugural flight from NAMO Airport, Daman.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Praful Patel, Administrator, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
The new route marks Daman’s first direct air connectivity with Delhi and is aimed at strengthening regional connectivity while improving accessibility to the Union Territory.
According to the airline, the service aligns with the Government of India’s vision of expanding regional air connectivity to create greater economic opportunities and promote tourism.
Strengthening regional connectivity
Alliance Air said the launch was completed under the leadership of Amit Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, AI Assets Holding Limited (AIAHL), and Chairman of Group Companies, and Rajarshi Sen, Chief Executive Officer, Alliance Air.
The airline credited its Commercial, Operations, Cabin Crew, Sales, Airport Operations, Security, and Ground Support teams for coordinating the inaugural operation.
Alliance Air said the new service reflects its continued commitment to supporting the government’s regional connectivity objectives by improving air access to emerging destinations across the country.
