Goa has signed an MoU with The Modern Data Company to explore artificial intelligence applications across tourism and public services, with visitor-flow forecasting among the proposed uses. The company announced the agreement on 4 November, saying its DataOSplatform would connect departmental information and support AI-driven decisions. The partnership will examine forecasts to help tourism authorities plan crowd management, transport and safety resources, with one priority use case targeted to go live by February–March 2027, subject to approvals. Goa’s draft AI Policy 2026 separately proposes crowd-prediction systems at beaches and heritage sites and demand forecasting for accommodation and transport. Goa recorded 10.8 million tourist arrivals in 2025 and has 9,005 hotels with 77,253 rooms.
