Goa has begun operationalising its 11-temple Ekadasha Teertha Yatra, offering senior citizens a 50% concession on the curated circuit. The latest rollout saw 27 women visit four temples in North Goa in a single day, according to the Tourism Department. The inaugural tour started at Shree Mahadev Temple, Tambdi Surla, and covered Devkikrishna Devasthan at Marcel, Mahaganapati Devasthan at Khandola and Anant Devasthan at Savoi-Verem. The circuit links 11 temples across Goa and was formally launched as a three-day pilgrimage experience in July, with two dedicated buses introduced by Goa Tourism and GTDC. The state’s 2025-26 Economic Survey lists all 11 temples, while GTDC is also undertaking infrastructure works for the circuit, including a ₹6.13-crore South Goa project.
