Hilton Salwa Beach Resort targets India’s growing wedding & leisure travel segments

Qatar-based Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas is strengthening its focus on India, with growing interest from Indian wedding planners, families and leisure travellers driving opportunities.

Talking to TravelBiz Monitor during his recent visit to Mumbai, Petr Pisecky, General Manager, Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas, said India continues to be one of the resort’s most important outbound markets, with destination weddings emerging as a promising segment.

“There is a growing interest from Indian wedding planners as well as families to come and hold weddings internationally,” he said.

According to Pisecky, the resort’s diverse accommodation options, wellness facilities, dining experiences and extensive beachfront give it a competitive advantage in attracting Indian wedding business. Spread across 3.5 km of beachfront, the property offers a combination of privacy, recreational activities and event spaces, enabling wedding groups to enjoy multiple experiences within one destination.

Highlighting changing traveller preferences, Pisecky said demand is increasingly shifting towards shorter stays packed with richer experiences. This trend, he observed, is prompting travellers to spend more on curated experiences rather than prioritising the duration of their holidays.

The resort is leveraging its scale and diverse offerings to tap into this demand, with options ranging from beach activities and water sports to spa and wellness experiences, varied dining concepts and personalised holiday packages.

“People are recently seeking shorter stays filled with more experiences,” he said, adding that travellers are increasingly willing to spend more to maximise their experiences within a limited timeframe.

Pisecky said the resort is continuously developing its offerings to remain competitive and strengthen its market positioning. With a significant existing Indian customer base, Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas aims to further attract Indian travellers through tailored experiences catering to different holiday preferences.
