Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a 100-key greenfield Ginger hotel in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, under an operating lease with Jagmal Logistics and Industrial Parks, a subsidiary of The Jagmal Group. The project will include an all-day dining restaurant, bar, meeting facilities and a fitness centre, targeting both business and leisure travellers. With the signing, IHCL’s Uttar Pradesh portfolio will reach 64 hotels, including 27 under development. The addition follows Ginger’s milestone of 100 operating hotels in India, announced in October. The brand has a portfolio of 250 hotels nationally, comprising 95 under development and 55 under brand migration. Prayagraj’s commercial, industrial and pilgrimage activity underpins the location’s mixed demand base. No opening timeline has been announced for the project.
