India has emerged as Sentosa’s largest international source market, contributing nearly one-third of the island destination’s total foreign visitors, prompting Singapore’s premier leisure hub to accelerate investments in new attractions and MICE offerings for Indian travellers.
Speaking during a visit to New Delhi, Addison Goh, Divisional Director, Business and Experience Development, Sentosa Development Corporation, said the destination is strengthening its long-term India strategy through the newly unveiled Greater Sentosa Master Plan, which includes the development of the 120-hectare Brani Island with new hotels, attractions and experiences.
To further drive demand, Sentosa hosts nearly 30 events annually and has recently introduced attractions such as the world’s first conveyor-belt-operated Sky Slide. On the MICE front, the island currently offers over 4,000 hotel rooms across 19 hotels, alongside experiential incentive products, including the Royal Albatross sailing experience, watersports, and a gamified team-building trail tailored for corporate groups.
