ITC Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a management contract for Storii by ITC Hotels, Sanjay Dubri, a 30-key boutique retreat in Madhya Pradesh. Set within the wilderness of Sanjay Dubri National Park in Sidhi district, the property will expand the Storii by ITC Hotels brand’s presence across emerging leisure destinations.
The retreat is being designed to blend with its natural surroundings and will feature expansive villas and suites alongside spaces reflecting the character of the destination. Its facilities will include curated dining experiences, recreational areas and intimate event spaces, while the guest experience will focus on wildlife exploration, nature immersion, wellness and locally inspired activities.
Anil Chadha, Managing Director, ITC Hotels Limited, said the diverse landscapes of India are creating new opportunities for experiential travel, with wildlife destinations increasingly attracting discerning travellers. He described Sanjay Dubri as an opportunity to create a hospitality experience connected to its ecological setting while contributing to the destination’s tourism potential.
The signing forms part of ITC Hotels’ strategy to expand across emerging leisure corridors and develop hospitality experiences rooted in local character. Through Storii by ITC Hotels, the company focuses on boutique retreats that highlight local narratives, cultural authenticity and a strong sense of place.
Pankaj Phulwani, Director, M/s Sal Tree Resorts Private Limited, said the company was pleased to partner with ITC Hotels to develop the Sanjay Dubri retreat. He said the vision is to create an intimate wildlife property that allows guests to experience the region’s natural surroundings, supported by ITC Hotels’ experience in developing differentiated hospitality offerings.
The property will benefit from its proximity to established wildlife destinations such as Bandhavgarh and Kanha. Improving road connectivity from source markets including Prayagraj, Jabalpur, Rewa and Varanasi is also expected to enhance accessibility. With its dense sal forests, tiger population and natural surroundings, Sanjay Dubri is emerging as a wildlife destination in Central India, with the new retreat expected to appeal to wildlife enthusiasts, experiential travellers, families and social groups.
