The Karnataka government has invited greater private investment in the tourism sector, assuring investors of full support through simplified policies, subsidies, incentives and single-window clearances.
Speaking at the inauguration of the three-day Indian International Travel Mart (IITM) 2026 in Bengaluru, Tourism and Energy Minister KJ George said the state aims to create an investor-friendly environment for tourism projects.
George encouraged entrepreneurs to invest in resorts, adventure tourism and cruise tourism, stating that the government is committed to removing procedural hurdles and supporting tourism enterprises.
The minister stressed that collaboration between the government and private sector is essential for sustainable tourism growth and invited investors and travel industry stakeholders to partner in Karnataka’s tourism expansion.
He added that the state has been conducting roadshows, travel marts and investor engagement programmes across India and overseas while prioritising tourism infrastructure, improved connectivity, quality services and ease of doing business.
Tourism Department Secretary Dr V. Ram Prasath Manohar said tourism is a major driver of employment, investment and local economic development, with the government aiming to position Karnataka among India’s leading tourism destinations.
