Madame Tussauds Singapore and MakeMyTrip have partnered to launch the ‘Icons of India’ campaign, a limited-period experience celebrating Diwali and the global appeal of Indian cinema. The initiative highlights the glamour and cultural influence of Bollywood while offering visitors new opportunities to engage with celebrated Indian film stars at the Singapore attraction.
Visitors can get up close with wax figures of Deepika Padukone, Varun Dhawan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, alongside a special lineup of activities. As part of the collaboration, MakeMyTrip is offering an exclusive Buy One Get One deal on tickets for bookings made between October 21 and November 15, 2026, giving travellers an additional incentive to visit during the festive season.
Wade Chang, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Singapore, said Diwali represents the spirit of light, joy and togetherness in Indian culture. He added that the Icons of India campaign aims to bring visitors closer to iconic stars and create memorable experiences, while the partnership with MakeMyTrip will help introduce Indian cinema to a wider audience in Singapore.
Jasmeet Singh, Chief Business Officer – Holidays & Experiences at MakeMyTrip, said travellers increasingly seek memorable experiences beyond conventional sightseeing. He noted that the partnership makes the attraction accessible to Indian travellers through MakeMyTrip’s booking platform, alongside flights and hotels. With many Indians travelling overseas during the festive season, the campaign offers visitors to Singapore another experience to include in their Diwali plans.
A key highlight of the campaign is the newly unveiled wax figure of Deepika Padukone. Dressed in a red, floor-length gown featuring an open-back design, the figure captures the actor’s signature glamour, with cascading hair and a distinctive gaze recreating her screen presence. The addition expands the attraction’s collection of Indian celebrity figures and places a contemporary star of Indian cinema at the centre of the campaign.
Deepika Padukone has built a career spanning Indian and international cinema, representing Indian film talent on global platforms. She served on the Feature Film Jury at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival and attended the 2023 Academy Awards, bringing further international visibility to Indian cinema. Her latest wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore forms part of the Icons of India experience, combining celebrity attractions with festive travel offers for visitors.
