Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) has launched Iconiqa Collection, a curated portfolio of upscale hotels, with the signing of Laxminarayan Palace Resort in Vadodara under a revenue-sharing agreement through its subsidiary, Royal Orchid Goa Private Limited.
The move marks the evolution of Iconiqa from a standalone hotel brand into a collection of destination-led properties, aligning with the company’s asset-light growth strategy. The collection will comprise hotels distinguished by their architectural identity, cultural significance and location rather than a standardised brand format.
Located near Vadodara’s iconic Laxmi Vilas Palace, the 106-key Laxminarayan Palace Resort has been designed as a palace-inspired urban resort, blending heritage architecture with contemporary hospitality. The property features accommodation across Palace and Heritage Wings, along with multiple dining venues, wellness facilities and large-scale event infrastructure.
The resort is positioned to tap the growing demand for destination weddings, MICE and leisure travel. It houses six indoor event venues, landscaped lawns, courtyards and a grand ballroom, complemented by a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, yoga studio and salon.
Its food and beverage offerings include Mayur Pankh, an Indian speciality restaurant inspired by royal cuisines, Cafe Nirvaan, an alfresco all-day café, and Little Italy, a vegetarian Italian restaurant.
According to the company, the Iconiqa Collection will focus on properties with distinctive architectural character and authentic destination experiences, ranging from heritage landmarks to contemporary lifestyle hotels.
With the addition of Laxminarayan Palace Resort, ROHL aims to strengthen its presence in the upscale hospitality segment while expanding its portfolio through management and revenue-sharing partnerships rather than asset ownership. The launch also reinforces the group’s strategy of building destination-driven hospitality offerings in key leisure and business markets across India.
