South Korea has extended its visa application fee waiver for group tourists from six countries, including India, until December 31, 2026, in a move expected to strengthen outbound leisure and incentive travel demand from the Indian market. The waiver applies to C-3-2 short-term group visas and also covers travellers from China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines. The visa processing fee, currently 18,000 won (around USD 13) per applicant, will continue to be waived as Seoul looks to sustain the recovery in inbound tourism. The extension follows the programme’s scheduled expiry at the end of June and is part of South Korea’s broader strategy to attract more international visitors. Group tourists from India saw the largest percentage increase, more than doubling from 573 in 2024 to 1,120 in 2025.
