TAFI is pushing for increased air connectivity between India and Greece as it looks to convert the momentum generated by its Rhodes convention into sustained tourism flows between the two markets. Abbas Moiz, President, Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), said increasing direct flights would be among the key priorities following the convention. “So, I think what’s next is increase of direct flights into India and out of India into Greece,” he said.
Moiz also called for a concerted promotional effort involving partners and exhibitions in both countries, alongside greater knowledge-sharing and visibility for Indian travel agents. “The agents who have come here have already seen things and they know the possibilities,” he said, adding that Greek partners were looking at a longer-term approach, with tangible results expected over a three-year period.
