The Western region chapter of the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) recently held a bi-monthly meeting in Mumbai, where key issues relevant to the travel industry were discussed. One of the main topics was Labour Law.
“There are many changes in the new Labour Law, and it is very important for entrepreneurs to ensure they comply with it correctly. We also made a presentation on the new Labour Law so that our members can easily understand it,” said Jay Kantawala, Chairman, Western India, TAFI.
In addition, Aerticket (tickets and technology services) delivered a presentation to promote its products to the travel fraternity. The meeting saw participation from around 100 members. “I am very happy with the turnout of our members at the meeting,” Kantawala said. He added that it has always been their endeavour to select the best topics and discuss them with members every two months. “We also invite airlines, visa facilitators, and others so that this platform becomes an opportunity for networking,” he noted.
Commenting on the current situation, Kantawala said that business sentiment is low due to the US-Iran war. “However, we are hopeful that the crisis will be resolved soon,” he added.
