Visa lead times and extended booking windows remain obstacles to cruise sales in India, alongside limited product awareness and agent confidence, according to STIC Travel Group. Isha Goyal, Executive Director & CEO, STIC Travel Group, said customers can be reluctant to plan long-haul holidays months in advance, while agents need greater clarity on cruise positioning and pricing to recommend unfamiliar products. To address these issues, STIC is investing in brand training, webinars, trade resources, and direct support for enquiries. The company is working with trade partners to improve product understanding and broaden the market for river, small-ship, luxury and expedition cruises.
