Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a major expansion in hotel infrastructure, with the state adding around 3,000 hotel keys in two years, taking its total inventory to nearly 7,400 keys. The growth is being supported by tourism incentives and increased private sector participation. Kandula Durgesh, Minister of Tourism, Culture & Cinematography, Andhra Pradesh, said, “Several big hotels, including Oberoi, Mayfair, Atmosphere, Novotel, Hyatt Centric, Hotel Elpaso, Pema Wellness Resort, and others, have come forward and have already started building their hotels. We have worked out that the Oberoi hotel is going to start shortly. Earlier, we had only around 4,500 keys, but within two years we were able to add another 3,000 keys. Today, we are going to have 7,400 keys in the state because of the policies being taken by our government.”
