Noida is emerging as a strategic launchpad for major pilgrimage destinations in North India, says Barun Gupta, Founder, Global Bhakti Fest. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Gupta emphasised that modern road infrastructure and regional air transport hubs are reshaping domestic and international pilgrimage patterns. “Noida plays a vital strategic role due to its seamless transit links,” said Gupta. “It directly connects to South Delhi and the Western Peripheral Expressway (KMP), which intercepts five national highways. From here, major pilgrimage spots are within quick striking distance — Mathura–Vrindavan is just a 90-minute drive, Garhmukteshwar is less than an hour away, and Haridwar and Dehradun can be reached within three hours.”
He added that the operationalisation of the nearby Noida International Airport will serve as a primary catalyst, drastically reducing travel friction for domestic pilgrims and long-haul international visitors seeking direct access to religious destinations across North India.
