The real return on investment from an exhibition often begins after the exhibition floor closes, with suppliers needing to convert meetings into lasting business relationships. At the TravTalk Think Tank, Anshu Sharma, Founder, Holiday Tribe, said one of the industry’s biggest weaknesses is post-event engagement. “This is one of the biggest missing links. Most suppliers are in the process of collecting visiting cards. Even if you had a productive conversation, the follow-ups are not happening.” Panellists agreed that exhibitors who invest in structured follow-up and AI-powered CRM tools are likely to see significantly better business outcomes.
