Tripura Tourism showcases destinations at Mumbai roadshow


 

Tripura Tourism organised a roadshow in Mumbai on July 6, 2026, to promote the state’s tourism potential among travel trade professionals. Held at The Orchid Hotel, the event brought together tour operators, travel agents and tourism stakeholders for business-to-business networking and destination promotion.

 

The roadshow showcased Tripura’s diverse tourism offerings, including heritage sites, wildlife attractions, scenic landscapes and indigenous cultural experiences. Key destinations highlighted included Neermahal, Ujjayanta Palace, Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary and Rudrasagar Lake, along with traditional Tripuri cultural performances.

 

A delegation of 16 tour operators from Tripura participated in the event to engage with the Mumbai travel trade. More than 100 travel agents attended the roadshow, learning about the state’s tourism products and exploring opportunities to promote Tripura among travellers.

 

The event was attended by senior officials, including U.K. Chakma, IAS, Secretary, Tripura Tourism; Prashant Badal Negi, IAS, Managing Director, Tripura Tourism; Malti Datta, Deputy Director, India Tourism; and Sushil Reang, Deputy Director, Tripura Tourism.

 

Through the roadshow, Tripura Tourism aimed to strengthen market connections, increase awareness of the state’s tourism offerings and position Tripura as an emerging destination for heritage, nature, cultural and leisure tourism in Northeast India.

 

The programme also featured a devotional performance by the Bhakti Unplugged team, providing participants with a cultural experience and adding a unique spiritual element to the networking event.
